Dr. Sofia Masouri

Dr. Sofia Masouri is an experienced and highly qualified dermatologist based in Paphos, Cyprus. She embarked on her medical journey at the prestigious National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she graduated in 2004 with merit. Following her graduation, she gained practical experience by working at the rural practice in Batsi on Andros Island from 2005 to 2007. Dr. Masouri then began her specialisation in pathology at the Fleming General Hospital in Athens, where she honed her skills from 2008 to 2010.

In 2010, Dr. Masouri was recruited as an Academic Resident at the A’ University Clinic of Andreas Syngros Hospital, a renowned institution specialising in venereal and skin conditions. During this period, she led numerous research projects, particularly focusing on psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Her work involved developing protocols for clinical trials and conducting basic research to explore genetic and pharmacogenetic patterns in these conditions. Dr. Masouri’s contributions to the field culminated in her PhD thesis titled “Clinical features, comorbidity, Psoriasis – Type I and type II: Similarities, differences and relationship to histocompatibility antigens and Gene polymorphisms”, for which she was awarded the title of ‘Professor’ by the University of Athens.

Between 2014 and 2017, Dr. Masouri completed her specialisation in Dermatology and Venereology at the A’ University Clinic of Andreas Syngros Hospital, where she excelled in all areas of clinical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and paediatric dermatology. She is licensed to practise in both Greece and Cyprus, where she provides her services through the GeSY (National Health System of Cyprus), making her expertise accessible to a wider range of patients.

In 2017, Dr. Masouri was awarded a scholarship from Andreas Syngros Hospital, allowing her to further develop her skills in medical aesthetics at the renowned Victoria Park Clinic in Montreal, Canada. Here, she was trained in innovative laser therapies, injectables, and body sculpting techniques, expanding her capabilities in cosmetic dermatology. Since returning to Greece, she has become a sought-after Medical Advisor on biologic therapies for psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and atopic dermatitis, while continuing to offer her services in dermatology and venereology, as well as medical aesthetics.

Dr. Masouri’s expertise includes a wide range of medical aesthetic treatments, such as CO2 laser treatments, fractional laser treatments, chemical peelings, HIFU, and Ellypse rejuvenation treatments. She also offers Botox, Dysport, hyaluronic acid injections, and mesotherapy. She has also presented her research at numerous conferences, including seminars on clinical research at Cambridge University and conferences on dermato-oncology in Berlin.
