Dr. Andreas Ellinas

Dr. Andreas Ellinas is a highly qualified paediatric and adult otorhinolaryngologist, with a specialisation in head and neck surgery. He completed his medical degree at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, before starting his Specialty Training in Otorhinolaryngology under the Greek Surgical Training Programme in Cyprus.

Furthering his education and expertise, Dr. Ellinas undertook advanced specialist training in the United Kingdom, where he completed numerous fellowships in various subspecialities. His areas of focus include rhinology, particularly endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery, as well as functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty. He has also trained in paediatric ENT, using cutting-edge techniques such as coblation for minimal blood loss procedures, and otology, including neurotology and vertigo management. Dr. Ellinas is experienced in treating sleep-disordered breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, and has a special interest in voice disorders, offering specialist voice clinics and microphonosurgery.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ellinas has gained prestigious titles, including MRCS (ENT), a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and DOHNS, a Diploma of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has also earned the Fellow title (FRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, along with the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (CCST).

Dr. Ellinas’ expertise led to his appointment as Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist and Head of the Rhinology Department at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust Hospitals in the UK, where he played a key role in training and mentoring ENT surgeon trainees as the Educational Lead for the ENT Department in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

In addition to his work in the UK, Dr. Ellinas is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (FEB ORL-HNS) and has successfully passed the European Board Examination. Since 2021, he has served as an Examiner for the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
