Dr. Carolin Sonne

Dr. Carolin Sonne is a highly respected Interventional Cardiologist with certifications from the German Society of Interventional Cardiology and a distinguished clinical practice and research career. She earned her medical degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, followed by extensive training and clinical experience at the University Hospitals of Chicago and Munich. Dr. Sonne is certified in Internal Medicine (2007) and Cardiology (2012), with specialisations in Echocardiography, Heart Failure, and Interventional Cardiology.

During her 11 years at the University of Munich, Dr. Sonne held key positions as Director of the Echocardiography Lab and the Heart Failure Clinic and Senior Attending Physician in the Heart Catheter Lab at the renowned German Heart Center. Her time in these roles equipped her with broad expertise in the diagnosis and interventional therapy of coronary and structural heart disease. Alongside her clinical work, she conducted significant research, presented at international scientific congresses, and published in leading medical journals. Dr. Sonne also taught medical students at the Technical University of Munich, further enhancing her contribution to cardiology.
