Dr. Gustavo Vinegar Porto

Dr. Gustavo Vinagre is a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon and Specialist in Sports Medicine based in Porto. He holds a degree in Medicine (MD) and a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, Spain. Dr. Vinagre completed his internship in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Gustavo Vinagre has visited prestigious institutions worldwide to enhance his knowledge and skills. These institutions include the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, FC Barcelona in Barcelona, Aspetar in Doha, Qatar, and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Gustavo Vinagre has further pursued specialized training and education, including a Masters’s in Sports Traumatology and post-graduate courses in Sports Medicine, Football Medicine, Care for High-Performance Athletes, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Diploma in Sports Medicine. He is recognized as a specialist in Sports Medicine in Portugal.

With a focus on continuous learning and professional development, Dr. Vinagre has participated in various courses, such as the Intensive Course in Microsurgery at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, the Advanced Course in Microsurgery at Columbia University, and the AANA Course in Advanced Arthroscopy of the Knee, among others.

Dr. Gustavo Vinagre has contributed to the field through his research, publishing articles in international journals describing new surgical techniques and review articles. He actively participates in professional societies and organizations, including the Young Professionals Task Force Committee of ISAKOS and the board of directors of SETRADE.
