Dr. Michael Peters Marbella

Dr. Michael Peters is a highly skilled specialist in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine with a rich background in academic and clinical experience. Originally from Westphalia, Germany, Dr. Peters completed his medical studies at the Free University of Berlin and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, followed by research and work at the prestigious Charité University Hospital in Berlin.

During his time at Charité, Dr. Peters achieved his Doctors’ degree (Dr.med.) in 2002 with the highest distinction and received the prize for the best annual dissertation. He went on to specialize in Internal Medicine in 2005 and Gastroenterology in 2007. By 2009, he became the head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Diabetology at the Jewish Hospital Berlin.

After several successful years in Berlin, Dr. Peters and his family made the decision to move to the Costa del Sol, where his wife is from. Along the way, they stopped in New Zealand, where Dr. Peters worked as a gastroenterologist at the Timaru Hospital and held a lectureship at the University of Otago, Dunedin.

Since early 2013, Dr. Michael Peters has been practising as a dedicated gastroenterologist in the heart of Marbella. He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish, ensuring effective communication with his patients.
