Dr. Michalis S. Lazanakis

Dr. Michalis S. Lazanakis is a distinguished obstetrician and gynaecologist with extensive experience in both Greece and the United Kingdom. After completing his medical studies in Greece, Dr. Lazanakis moved to the UK, where he underwent comprehensive training in obstetrics and gynaecology across several hospitals in North London. He earned the title of Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) through rigorous examinations. He received the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in the UK following regular assessments.

Dr. Lazanakis has specialised in key areas of women’s health, including fetal medicine at the Royal Free Hospital in London, endoscopic surgery at the University College Hospital of London and Harold Wood Hospital in Essex, and colposcopy at Southend Hospital in Essex. He is also certified in Advanced Training in Obstetric Ultrasound by the Royal College of Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, and Radiologists. His training includes extensive work in high-risk obstetrical clinics, where he gained certification to perform the full range of obstetric ultrasounds.

In Gynaecology, Dr. Lazanakis has developed expertise in managing a wide variety of conditions. His experience includes specialised gynaecological clinics for menopause, infertility, endometriosis, and colposcopy. He has also received training in advanced endoscopic techniques, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, which have become essential tools in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.

Before returning to Greece, Dr. Lazanakis held prominent positions, including Senior Registrar at University College Hospital in London and Consultant at Queen Charlotte’s and Hammersmith Hospital. Since 2004, he has been practicing in Athens and collaborates with leading hospitals such as IASO and LETO. In 2013, Dr. Lazanakis was honoured with the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), recognizing his continued dedication to high-quality medical services for women.
